Our Christmas Tree

This year I made a point to get our Christmas tree up as soon as possible so that Noah could enjoy the bright lights and all the colors.  Surprisingly, he has been pretty uninterested.  Still, it's been great for me.  We trimmed down some of the "kids" ornaments and made room for some more adult ones.  I figure this is the time to enjoy an adult looking tree before your kids make lots of crazy looking ornaments.  Maybe then I'll get two trees!

I also had a ton of fun this year wrapping presents.  I wanted to all match under the tree. I'm laughing just reading at that comment, but whatever, I love that they all look like they belong under the same tree.  I used a lot of craft paper with pops of red and gold.  A little of green thrown in too.  That glitter ribbons looks awesome under the lights but as I quickly learned it's a pain in the ass to work with.  None of the glitter seems to stay on the ribbon.  Instead I vacuumed and dusted a million times and still I find glitter in random places.  Jeffs face, Noah's hair... it's a cleaning nightmare.

Finally, after looking everywhere for a great idea to display our Christmas cards and finding nothing I liked, I bought some Christmas garland from Mailbox Happiness on Etsy.  I feel like I could have made this myself but honestly, I don't have the time of the patience to do projects right now so this was super easy.   I used some clear pushpins and attached the garland right on the ceiling.  I also bought some cute mini clothespins that I painted with a glitter pen to attach the cards on the garland.  Way easy and turned out super cute!

Our Christmas Cards

Can you believe there are only eight more days 'till Christmas!? Life just passes by too quick.  This year especially.  I'm super excited this week for only a couple days at work and then we're off for a week and a half! I'm very much looking forward to spending some good quality time as a family.  Making dinners together, making some Christmas desserts, opening presents and mostly excited to see all the fun Noah is going to have this Christmas.  I can see it already, his most favorite part is going to be the tissue paper.
Ah!, the noise it makes... "and  look mom, I can eat it too!"
Actually, yesterday, I get home from the airport, (which let me tell you, mom life kicks in rather quickly after a vacation) I'm doing some cleaning around the house, replacing Noah's favorite toy, (the tissue boxes) and the kids starts eating the cardboard top! No lie, I turn around for maybe thirty seconds only to turn back and see Noah eating the cardboard top which is now so soaked from the massive amounts of drool that it's in a little ball so wet that the ball itself is drooling! I'm pretty sure he would have eaten it if I would have waited any longer.  I've realized that the time has come in a babys life when you just can't leave them unattended ever again; for the next twenty years anyway.

Ok, so in honor of the Christmas holiday, I thought it'd be fun to recap our Christmas cards since we've been married.  It's been almost four years!  Seems like much longer though.

This year was obviously my favorite. How can you not love that smile?
And, if you know me and wondered why you didn't get one this year....
I didn't order enough.  Mom brain fail!  We hope to see lots of people for Christmas and you can hug and kiss little Noah then.  Much better than a Christmas card anyway.

Six Months & 26 Weeks

Noah Bear, you are six months!  You are grown up so fast and I couldn't be happier.
Jeff and I commented this week how Noah looks so much older than six months.  Not only is he big in size but when we look at other kids his age we don't see the child like face we see in Noah. His features just seem more like those of a young child.

  • How old is Noah?:  26 Weeks | Six Months
  • Noah is how big?: 20ish lbs
  • Stats: Size 3 diapers |  6 or 6-9mo clothing | Full (LARGE) head of fuzzy hair minus his bald "sleeping" spot. (Just like an old man except lower =) | Still has sweaty feet | Abs of steel | Sitting on his own | Reaching for objects | Holds his sippy cup and "drinks" but doesn't tip the cup
  • Sleep: Sleeping consistently from 7:30pm to 7:30am. Naps four times during the day. The first one being the long one around 1:20, the next two about 50mins and the final nap around 30-40mins.
  • Milestones: We worked hard on the sippy cup last week and got pretty far.  Now we just have to work on the tipping part so the water can come out. We also offered some puffs this week to work on pinching with the fingers.  Twice he grabber the puffs and brought them to his mouth and then fell right before he could get them in. Lots of progress.
  • Mom Check-in: Excited and a little sad about leaving for my first alone trip this weekend.  It's going to be great to be of mom duty and seeing someone elses' child but I'm really going to miss Noah.  Jeff too. =)
  • Best Moment of the Week: Finished out family pictures yesterday and Noah was a champ.  The weather was rather chilly.  About 20 degrees with some wind, but he handled it great.  We got there and took a ton of pictures right away and he was laughing and smiling... Excited to see how they turned out.   Noah did get a little grumpy at the end but I was freezing too so I can imagine he wasn't very comfortable near the end of all the pictures.  Overall very happy with Noah's effort.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Noah has a Dr. Apt this week and I'm excited to see what the Dr. says.  Noah looks great to us and hasn't even got sick yet which I'm so thankful for.  Looking forward to see in what percentage he falls since we think he quite the moose. And finally excited for my trip to Tennessee! It's been almost four years since I've seen my friend Emily and now she has a little baby girl to meet too!
And as ussual, I'll leave you with a great Noah picture :

On our Christmas cards that is. =)  Already in the mail and feeling productive.

Winter is Here!

We're only two days into December and I'm so happy because I feel like we've accomplished so much already.  Like many families we put up our Christmas tree this weekend. We even had Noah put up his first ornament. (Or at least he acted like he did)  I even did a little Christmas present wrapping and they're already underneath the tree.

This weekend we also took a ton of pictures.  We just don't want to forget how cute and little Noah is right now. We took Noah outside for his first taste in snow and he loved it.  Every time he would fall from sitting he would smile from the soft snow.

And like anything else that makes it near Noahs mouth, he tried to eat the snow...
He didn't seem to mind that it was so cold.

Typical Noah pose with his tongue out. Just can't keep that thing in!

So glad we got to spend some good quality time with Noah this weekend. =)

24 Weeks

Noah is 24 weeks and almost six months! (Well, last Friday anyway)  As I mentioned earlier, we actually have family pictures on his six month birthday which will work out great. I'm sort of crazy like that and love when these things fall on completely perfect days.  Now when he sees these pictures I can say, "Noah, you were EX-ACT-LY six months! Haha... it's ok, judge me.  Also, still have not figured out what we're going to wear.... still need to go through my closet and figure out what I want to wear since I change outfits a million times outside of mom life; then I can figure out everyone else. =)

Ok, on to Noah updates.

  • How old is Noah?:  24 Weeks
  • Noah is how big?: 20ish lbs
  • Stats: Size 3 diapers |  6 or 6-9mo clothing | Full (LARGE) head of fuzzy hair minus his bald "sleeping" spot. (Just like an old man except lower =) | Still has sweaty feet | Abs of steel |
  • Sleep: We finally dropped the 9:30 feed and is now doing his last feed at 7:30p.  He's still sleeping great till about 7-7:30a.  I could not be happier with the way he sleeps at night.  Day time though is still a crap shoot.  Noah has been taking about four naps during the day with the first one being about an hour and a half and the rest between 30-60mins. We're looking to possibly get his to sleep two longer naps and a little capnap before dinner.  Problem is you gotta keep the kid up longer and when he's grumpy and ready for bed he lets you know, and it's usually way earlier than I would want. So, we're still working on it.  Trying to extend his awake time in hopes for longer naps but who knows. Noah's the boss.
  • Milestones: He's sitting much stronger and grabs everything in sight.  His walking is out of control.  Like Jeff mentioned to me this morning, he gets such momentum on the walker in the kitchen he runs up into the carpet so far that he can't back himself off.... but super funny to watch.
  • Mom Check-in: I'm actually doing pretty good this week.  We seem to have a good schedule which really helps me know what to expect which keeps me less stressed. I went to see Catching Fire last week (great sister date) and even put on some real non uniform clothing  for work today.  It's the little things in life that make you smile... and feel like you did before children.  You really do take non-kid life for granted until you know what you're missing.
  • Best Moment of the Week: Catching Fire was great.  Can't wait to see the rest of the movies. (did you know there is gonna be two more? because that was news to me 'till a couple of days ago and I'm semi-disappointed I'll have to wait for the fourth)
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to:  I'm excited for Thanksgiving this week and excited to see my mom.  She always gets to excited to see Noah and how fast he grows.  I'm also looking forward to finishing of some Christmas shopping and getting started on some Christmas projects I've dug up on Pinterest.
One of those being this:

If you don't already follow Little Baby Garvin, you should.  The things she comes up with are great.  She's super creative which I love and best of all she's very festive which I definitely could work on.  I don't feel like our family ever grew up doing a lot of celebrating and I'd really like to make sure Noah gets excited for the special days.

And finally in honor of my Alma Mater winning their latest football playoff game, I leave you with this:

Go LAKERS!!

Love/Hate List

Love - Getting major things accomplished at work first thing in the morning.  It makes you feel like you started your day off right.  Paid some bills this morning, made my whole schedule until mid-June, took some time off for the rest of the semester, planned out baby-sitting days needed and cleared out my e-mails. Down to one! Feels great!

Love - Auto correct fails.  I laughed so hard! Link HERE.

Love - Little baby laughs.

Hate - This terrible cold weather Michigan is offering today.  It's supposed to snow and get down to the low 30's.  Good thing I get to work inside in a warm office. Could you imagine being the ticket meter maids downtown? Or the people who walk around the city and pick up garbage?  No fun at all.

Love -  How grown up Noah is getting.  In the last month he has gone from baby to toddler so fast.  He's so much more interactive.  He smiles so much and is such a happy baby.  He is very laid back and just hangs out no problem.

I'm super excited to get Noah's six month pictures done here in the next couple of weeks.  It'll be a great time for a good family picture.  I've been looking for ideas for clothing for all three of us.  Since it's before Christmas but after fall I don't know wich route I want to take.  We wont be doing these pictures early enough for Holiday cards so maybe just winter snugly sweater clothing is the way to go.
Is anyone else doing winter pictures? What clothing are you going with?

I have however bought Noah's Christmas dinner clothing.  12 month sweater and pants! He is so big and kind of great because I've noticed that once you hit the 12 month clothing mark things just get so much cuter.  The clothing is so much more adult and there aren't many rabbits and dogs all over. Seems like the older Noah gets the easier everything else gets too! I love it!

Sweater Weather Musts

I was just chillin at work yesterday, talking on the phone, not really paying attention to anything when bam!, I look out the window and I see S N O W!!! I mean, I guess it is November... but how did it get here so fast? I feel like it was just summer and things were peachy and then we had Noah and now it's snowing. Yes, that's pretty much how it went. Life just passes by so quickly.

And I'm thinking about how this week is super sucky because I get to see Jeff for a total of maybe 40 minutes all week until I get home from work on Friday.  I'm trying to look at the positives though. We have most of the weekend of together including Monday. We're going to see Shrek the Musical and honestly, the most exciting thing right now is that I'm going to wear real clothes.  Not my uniform for work, not pjs, t-shirts or sweatpants... but maybe like a dress or a nice shirt that wont get ruined by puke. Which brings me back to this weather.... It's cold outside and I need to go shopping for some cute sweater weather items! =)
Can you see a pattern... loungy, (is that even a word?) soft and comfy clothing is all I'm craving right now.
What happened to me wanting to dress cute? Haha.... such is life.
one | two | three | four

Anyway, can't shop for myself without shopping for Noah.
He would look like such a stud in these outfits.
Ladies all over him. =)
1. Top | Pants | Shoes
2.  Top | Pants | Shoes
3. Top | Pants | Shoes

Those baby shoes just kill me! Agh!

22 Weeks

Noah is five months!  How is that even possible?  He's sleeping through the night, eating food, sitting and talking.  It's true when they say they grow up fast!  It's just under two months 'till Christmas and I feel like I've been looking forward to that since Noah was born. I can't wait to see what other things he'll be able to do by then.

  • How old is Noah?:  21 Weeks
  • Noah is how big?: 19 lbs
  • Sleep: 10-11 Hrs. Life is good.
  • Milestones: He's been walking around the kitchen in the walker big time.  He's getting very good.  He's also mastered grabbing anything that's in front of him.  This kid is great with his hands already.
  • Baby "Win" of the Week:  While dad was changing Noah, Noah pees.  Jeff being as fast as he is grabs the onesie just in time where no pee gets on the wall! Noah 0 - Mom&Dad 1

  • What Mom misses: I'm missing sleeping in on the weekends.  I've gotten over the getting up early in the morning thing since I have to wake up for work anyway.  But it sure would be nice to get some extra sleep on the weekends.  Noah was actually doing pretty good sleeping in 'till almost 8 but with the time change it's more like seven.  Not really sleeping in in my book.
  • Best Moment of the Week:  I'm thinking Noah is starting to grasp the idea of hugs. Very great to feel baby hugs.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to:  I know it's a while away but I'm super excited for Christmas.

Day In The Life

Doesn't it just feel like groundhog day over and over sometimes.  Don't get me wrong, there are lots of things that are great about my days but geez, I really need to get some excitement going on.  Good thing the holidays are right around the corner for a nice change of pace.  Holidays mean I get to spend lots more time with Jeff and a lot less time at work!  I almost have three whole weeks of work between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and that's not including a mini vacation to Nashville I'll be taking in December.  So excited for that.  This mom is gonna enjoy some sleeping in for sure.
Anywho, until then my regular life resumes.

My days begin nice and early around 5:30 when I get up and get ready for work.  I'm in by seven and wait for something to happen at the police department!  Until something does though, I like to spend my time updating my blog, reading other blogs, catching up on gossip and enjoying a nice piece of pie from the maintenance department.  Yumm.... You wonder why people gain weight at work.  Someone is always bringing something in!

I love my car.  I little kia spectra I bought right out of college. I seriously never have to fill it up because it's so great on gas mileage which is great because I loathe getting gas.  One of my least favorite things to do in life. When I get home from work I switch shifts with my husband who heads in to work and I become mom to not-so-little Noah anymore.  We play, and then he gets grumpy and then it's time for nap time.  Obvious from this picture it's not his favorite.  We do this a couple more times until the evening.

Somewhere in there I try to make something for dinner.  Today, beef stew and since it's in the crock pot I even had time to make cookies and muffins for Halloween!  Finally, it's bed time for Noah.  Bath, book and bed around seven. I get a couple of hours of mom time before one last feed at nine and then it's of to bed for me too!

Pumpkin Picking

Last week I took a couple of days of work and I figured it was time to get out there and make some memories.  This was the first time Jeff and I have gone to a pumpkin patch to buy our pumpkins.  Most of the time we just get them while grocery shopping and carve them later, but you know, you just can't do that when you have kids anymore.  You have to make it an experience.

So of course, we went to the pumpkin farm. We thought it would be full of kids and a big patch full of pumpkins... but no, it was a couple of rows of pumpkins on grass and no one around. Don't most pumpkin patches have activities and such?  A little disappointing.  Thankfully Noah didn't really care either way.  Next year I must do some research ahead of time.

We did get a couple of good pictures to document the festivities.
Noah however was not impressed.  Not even with the goat!

Rosemary Lemon Baked Chicken

I came upon a whole chicken at the grocery store a few weeks back and thought, "Hey! I've never made a whole chicken! I can figure that out!" ...and so this recipe happened.  And it was delicious, how could I not share?  Did I also mention how easy it was? This for sure made it in the rotation.

Time:
Prep Time | 10 mins
Cook Time | 1.5 hrs

Ingredients:
Whole Chicken
3-4 Fresh Rosemary Sprigs
1 Lemon
3 Large Carrots, Peeled
1/2 Onion
Garlic
Butter
Parsley
Salt & Pepper

Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 425. Unpackage the chicken and clean the insides.  Some chickens may already have the insides cleaned for you.  If so, bonus!
2. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and liberally salt and pepper it. Melt enough butter to cover the chicken with a brush and then again salt and pepper over the butter. Top with parsley.
3. Cut the lemon in quarters and stuff the lemon, rosemary and a head of garlic cut in half, inside the chicken.  Tuck chicken thighs and legs under the bird.  If you have baking twine you may want to tie the legs together but its not necessary.
4. Cut the onion and carrots and throw in pan.  Place chicken on top.

5. Pop it in the oven for an hour and a half and when it's done....
nice pretty yummy chicken!

We made some asparagus on the side.  Hubby ate it all.

Fall Trends To Watch For

Some trends come and go but some are tried and true. Either way it feels like you're always trying to figure out whats in and whats out every season.  When I shop for myself it doesn't really matter what's in when because I usually have something in my closet that I can fit into whatever is in at the time. I rarely get rid of something in my closet that fits because you never know if it'll come back in style later on.
The problem with shopping with little ones is they literally grow out of things so fast you gotta get to it quick!
So here it is, my lists of things you have to get for your little man this fall.  Even if it's just one piece.

New Trend: Little Ears
Oldie But Goodie: Stripes
New Trend: Geek Love
Old But Goodie: Flannel

Fall Home Decorating

I've been meaning to do some fall decorating shopping for a while now.  Of course I waited 'till last week to go when most things are already being replaced with (dare I say *ugh*) Christmas things. I was at Pier1 for at least an hour looking around. Everything is so pretty, I wish I could decorate my whole house with their things.  I did end up bringging home a couple of things.

The chargers I got in gold and silver because I have these great silver and white snowflake plates from Target that I love for the winter; I thought they would look great together. You can't really find the dinnerware anymore so I'm glad I scooped them up when I did but you can still get the servewear here.  It's great for the winter.  The gold ones will look great with our everyday plates.  Now I've just got to get cooking.  Does anyone else not seem to find time to cook lately?  I really have to do some pre-planning so it's easier when I get home from work.

The rug ended up being a great find on sale!  We had a nice cushy one but it wasn't washable and it was getting really filthy.  Since we still wanted a cushy one we just put this one on top and it fit perfectly! The colors are also much more vibrant in person.  It really does remind me of fall... all the pretty colors of the leaves.

Finally, the glass containers made it to the guest bathroom in the basement.  I filled it up with all the miscellaneous travel size toiletries I've collected.  This way, if our guests forget something, it's right there for them to use up. Looks much better than a plastic bag under the sink.

19 Weeks

Crazy how times fly! Noah is getting so big.  He had his four month appointment this week and his shots which he handled much better than last time.  A little grumpy at night but didn't seem to have the same side effects and lots of crying like last time.   We also got the green light for solids so we started with some carrots to mixed reviews by Noah.  Maybe the next food will be better for him.
And of course, I've been dressing him in lots of Halloween outfits already.  Might as well make it a holiday month.

  • How old is Noah?:  19 Weeks
  • Noah is how big?: 17.5lbs
  • Sleep: Sleeping between 10-12 hrs at night.  Pretty consistent in his wakeup time of 7:30-8a.  If we put him to bed a little earlier he might sleep closer to 12 but I think he likes to sleep around 10.5-11hrs the most. My next goal is to have a more consistent bed time but I'm not complaining.  As long as he keeps sleeping at night I'm happy.
  • Milestones: Almost had him eat his toes this week.  He's really getting good at grabbing him feet.
  • Baby "Win" of the Week:  Oh geez, I don't know.  Noah has been a pretty good baby.  I think we'll call it even this week.  Noah 0 - Mom&Dad 0
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Noah is officially a great sleeper. Thank you son for giving me some sanity back.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Looking forward to this kid learning to roll over.  At his Dr. Apt we found he has a very large head in the 95th percentile which is making me wonder if it's just a little harder for him to lug that thing around and therefore is just happier laying his head down, but it's about time and I want him to start rolling over!
Finally, Jeff and I celebrated Sweetest Day (which I always forget about) during date night..  I was lucky enough to also have had a nice mani-pedi planned for me.  What a great hubby. =)

Love Hate List

Love | The new Cartwheel app by Target - You say I can shop at Target even more than I already do and save money? Ok, I guess you forced me to take my fifth trip this month. Get it. Seriously.

Love | The Golden Sisters - If you're having a crappy day because your child wont sleep and keeps puking in your face.... you need to watch this.  It will for the very short time keep you immensely entertained.  The most hilarious three grandmas in the whole world. My favorite video below. Prepare to pee your pantalones.

Hate | Lame drivers - Don't drive like an idiot just because it's raining; It's gonna snow soon and you're gonna have major problems.

Love | Bath & Body Works - Just opened a new bottle of Rome Honeysuckle Amore and I'm loving it. Not quite ready to leave the summer smells behind and although I'm more of a Brown Sugar lotion type of girl I can't get enough of this smell.

Love | Fall TV - I love fall TV.  It occupies so much time for me at work when it's slow.  It's so nice to have things to catch up on.  Currently I'm loving: Once Upon A Time,  Revolution, The Blacklist, Nashville & Trophy Wife. And like a million other more, but these are for sure the favs.

Hate | Working weekends - Enough said.

Love | Whole Chickens -Ok, kind of creepy when you think about it but I just realized how amazing it is to cook a whole chicken.  Did I mention it was super easy too? For sure will have to write a recipe for it soon. It's like fall wrapped up in butter and herbs. Yum!

Love | Festive holiday garlands on Etsy - I mean, seriously, you can get anything you want in any color and shape and it makes decoration your house that much more awesome. My favorite shops so far are here & here.

Not so many hates right now but lots of loves!

Boy Fall Favorites

This cooler weather we've been having has gotten me thinking how I really need to get some fall family pictures done so we have a cute Christmas card this year.  Now that Noah is around I just don't feel like I can slack and wait 'till the last minute as usual. Of course, with out crazy busy schedule in the fall we never have time to do anything, especially now that Noah takes like 90% of our free time, which leaves me to figure out a way to make these pictures work without a professional photographer.  Anyone want to come snap some photos?

Really though, I think we'll just have to make due with a mommy photoshoot in our back yard and see what happens.  And if we're not gonna have a great pictures we might as well look good, or at least Noah should.
I've been eying a ton of cute outfits. I really need to do a good fall shopping trip.

Parmesan Purple Potato Mash

So finally, a non baby post!  I promise I do have a life outside my child. I mean... I do have to eat!  This week Jeff and I stopped by the farmers market downtown Grand Rapids, which if you haven't been there yet (they just opened) you should definitely get there. They have an outdoor market that I don't believe will be open all year, but also an indoor section full of shops like a bakery, meat and fish market, juice shop, florist, cheese and wine, dessert shop and a lot more that you can enjoy all year long.

When we went this week we found some purple potatoes! They don't sell those at the grocery store surprisingly and we've been meaning to try them out so we picked some up.
And since Jeff loved them, I thought I would share the recipe.

Ingredients:
8 Sm/Med Purple Potatoes
1/4 C Milk
1/4 C Parmesan Cheese
1/8 C Butter -I'm guessing since I eye-ball it
Fresh Chives
Fresh Parsley
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
2. Wash and peel your potatoes. Cut them into bite size chunks and toss them into your boiling water. Cook until fork tender. Drain the potatoes leaving about a half a cup of the remaining water.

3. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix.

That's it! Like the easiest recipe ever.  As you see, there was no mashing needed.  These potatoes disintegrate much more than regular potatoes.  As you as you start mixing the ingredients they fall apart into pieces so it turns out to be like a chunky mash without mashing.  Less work for you. Even better.

Fifteen Weeks

As I mentioned last week, I was home all this week with Noah and hoping I would get to sleep in... which I did.  And let me tell you, it was amazing.  Who would have ever thought getting up at 7:30 felt so good? So, Thanks Noah for finally sleeping through the night for the last two weeks.  You make me a very happy mom.

  • How old is Noah?:  15 Weeks
  • Noah is how big?: 17lbs
  • Sleep: Same as last week, about 10 hours.  We try to wake up around 7:30.
  • Milestones: He is talking so much.  It's hilarious to just sit in front of him.  He will talk to anything and everything.  He's also getting really good at rolling from his back to his side.  He's mastered the tuck your knees in and turn.
  • Baby "Win" of the Week:  Honesly, I can't really think of one.  That's terrible... or good for me I suppose.  This week was great.  Noah gets a win because he made mommy happy. =) Noah 1 - Mom&Dad 1
  • New Toys/Activities: Fisher Price Superstar Step 'n Play Piano. We've been looking to get something similar to this for a while.  Noah's growing out of the bouncer seat and needs something to keep him occupied during times we need to get things done and he's up. So far, he's tolerating it fine.  I think at first it was a little scary with so many things going on but after a couple of minutes he started to like it much more.  He may be a couple of weeks too young yet, but he will for sure grow into it.  The best part is that he should be able to use it for a long time since you can take the seat out when he walks and he can still play with the toys and the keyboard.

  • What Mom misses: I think we're gonna discontinue this section too.  I think I'm finally back to normal and for the most part not missing much.  I will say though one of the reasons for this has been our nice Thursdays when we have my sister in law come babysit for a couple of hours.  Makes it really easy to go do something I used to do without Noah.
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Had a great date with Jeff this week and got to spend some quality time together.  Always a good time. =)
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Nothing too exciting coming up. I'm working all this week so getting back to the real world.  All weeks can't be exciting. Geez.
And finaly, one last picture that sums up our week.

We did a lot of playing and rolling on the floor.  I made him take pictures with me.
Terrible iphone selfies... but he didn't seem to mind.

Noah The Baby Model

Noah's finally starting to be up for extended periods of time; almost an hour and a half during the evenings. It's so nice to be able to spend more time with him other than just feeding and a quick play.  And even though he's up for a long time since he can't do a lot of moving around, I'm running out of new ways to keep him occupied.  Because of this, he's become my cute little model!  The last couple of days we've spent a lot of time outside so I can work on my photography skills and he can work on his tummy time and enjoy the outdoors for a little while longer before the cold gets here.

He's such a champ.  He really just lets me do whatever I want.  The only thing we struggled was his lack of sitting up which limited our poses... but we'll keep working on that.

Yesterday he gave me almost twenty minutes of continuous tummy time. Then, all the sudden he decided to lay his face on the ground and start eating the grass.  I think it was his way of telling me he was done posing for the camera.

What a little cutie I have. =)  I can't wait to keep snapping pictures of this little guy.
