About a year ago we found a new photographer after our old one kind of started to drop the ball. We made the switch and never looked back. She always takes the best pictures, interacts with Noah making him smile and even when he's all over the place she still manages to capture the best parts of our family. If you're in the Grand Rapids area you should definitely check Kelly Jo Photography out. She's the best!

Noah's One Year Pictures
We're lucky to have a photographer that always takes such good pictures of us and this time was no exception. Of course it's taken over three months to get around to posting, but why not now? Better late than never right? Noah was a little squirmy this day and just wanted to run around. Seems to be something toddlers do I suppose. And although he did not cooperate much, we got some pretty good ones to frame around the house.
Days after this shoot we decided to put away those cute little shoes Noah's wearing. Poor little guys feet are so sausagie even his cankles stick out the top! =) Such a little cutie he is.
dress (charlotte russe) shoes (also)
jeffs shirt (gap) shorts (h&m)
noahs outfit (oldnavy) shoes (target)

Noah The Baby Model
Noah's finally starting to be up for extended periods of time; almost an hour and a half during the evenings. It's so nice to be able to spend more time with him other than just feeding and a quick play. And even though he's up for a long time since he can't do a lot of moving around, I'm running out of new ways to keep him occupied. Because of this, he's become my cute little model! The last couple of days we've spent a lot of time outside so I can work on my photography skills and he can work on his tummy time and enjoy the outdoors for a little while longer before the cold gets here.
He's such a champ. He really just lets me do whatever I want. The only thing we struggled was his lack of sitting up which limited our poses... but we'll keep working on that.
Yesterday he gave me almost twenty minutes of continuous tummy time. Then, all the sudden he decided to lay his face on the ground and start eating the grass. I think it was his way of telling me he was done posing for the camera.
What a little cutie I have. =) I can't wait to keep snapping pictures of this little guy.

Snapseed Iphone App
After downloading a million photo editing apps on my iphone I finally found one that I love. It's as close as you're gonna get to a professional editing software and best of all it's free. Check out Snapseeds' website for how-to's. It does take a little bit to get the hang of the app. It's very detailed and lets you do a lot with your pictures but after messing around with it a couple times is gets much easier.
Check out my before and after.

Taking pictures with your iphone is such a pain sometimes. I never feel like indoor pictures turn out great. I took this in a pretty well lit room and still the above picture was pretty dark. Snapseed lets you control the brightness as a whole and just certain sections depending on what you want the finished product to look like.
....not to mention all the other cool things it can do.
(...and yes, that is a a creepy looking doll. We just got it from my mother-in-law.
Apparently it was Jeffs... Still very creepy)
What do you think? Will you be downloading Snapseed?
