Baby Brother has Arrived

We're very excited to announce that baby brother has finally arrived.... that is, over a week ago. Eeek.  Obviously we've been pretty busy with the two, and free time has been rare but we're very much in love with our new baby and enjoying almost every minute. (except the middle of the night constant feedings)

38 Weeks

Ok, so I kind of said I would keep this updated with random weekly updates of this baby bump but not to my surprise here we are ten weeks later finally making an update...and quite honestly I hope it's the last update anyway since I'm way ready to get this kid out.  Really this pregnancy has been much more tough; I've gained more weight, I feel more uncomfortable, I puked so much more.... Really the only good thing is I feel like I've slept better which is still a great accomplishment, but still.  I'm ready and really done with this pregnancy.  We are 38 weeks and 1 day as of today.  With Noah I started laboring tomorrow and had him the day after.  Cross your fingers, right?  Honestly though, I'm not feeling like that's going to happen.  I feel like the new baby is very content where he's at and will make it to his due date no problem. *eye roll*  Lucky for me I still have about half of Orange is the New Black to finish up at work before baby comes... maybe catch up on a couple other things.  The weather really hasn't bothered me too much since I'm inside all day anyway.  Gotta look at the bright side of things, right?

  • How far along?:38
  • Baby is the size of a: Winter Melon - The Bump says 19.6in and 6.61 lbs average.  I swear this kid will be over eight though... so we'll see.
  • Total weight gain/loss: 30. Geez, get this child out!
  • Symptoms: Lots of movement from the little guy and a terrible feeling of being overstretched at night but otherwise we're making it through.  I ya, and I'm exhausted.
  • Sleep: Sleeping pretty good but with constant pee breaks.
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope.
  • What I miss: I could use a beer or two, maybe a nice relaxing non pregnant day at the beach.... or the mall.
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: Off
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet: Well we do have two.  One I like, one Jeff does.  It'll be a discussion at the hospital.
  • Movement: This kid is stronger and crazier than the last.  I'm sure this guy will be a beast and he pretty much hurts my body all day long.
  • Maternity Clothes: Like since week 6.  There is no reason to try and squeeze into anything pre pregnancy.  Although I feel like my body in general has stayed smaller all around my belly is much bigger.  Blame it on the lack of stomach muscles or whatever but the only place I seem to be gaining any weight are my belly and my boobs.  So ya, can't fit into anything not maternity.
  • Labor Signs: Nothing? Maybe a couple braxton hicks... no, nothing really.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: The obvious but really just getting this kid out.  Naming him and holding him and really I could just use a break from work even though I know the shit show I'll be getting into at home. I'm ready to start losing this weight and stop waddling around.  You know, all the preggo stuff that's not fun .
Guys.... less than two weeks!  But who's counting anyway.

Maternity/Family Pictures

About a year ago we found a new photographer after our old one kind of started to drop the ball.  We made the switch and never looked back. She always takes the best pictures, interacts with Noah making him smile and even when he's all over the place she still manages to capture the best parts of our family.  If you're in the Grand Rapids area you should definitely check Kelly Jo Photography out.  She's the best!

Baby Stoll #2

I've really been putting this of for a while.  Partly because I feel like people would just find out as they saw us, and partly because I've been busy enough in life to worry about other things, but alas, now it's the time.

We're pregnant again!

Things are happening around here like putting together the nursery, and every day life with a belly that we just can't ignore.  It's really going to be more and more obvious as the summer comes and since mostly everyone already knows anyway I figured why not just put it out there.  I'll be doing random updates for the next couple of months but mostly just keeping it on the blog and Instagram (Ccristinat) so if you want to catch up, that'll be the best way.  Oh ya, and I finally got snapchat, lol, (CristinaStoll) worst idea ever because as I thought, I am totally obsessed and I have no time to be obsessed with anything right now but I'm on there and it's hilarious.

So.... surprise!  Kind of.... lol.

So for the basics that people might want to know.  As of today, we're 28 weeks 5 days and officially in my third trimester.  Our official due date is August 3rd although our doctor has told us this baby is measuring way big already and she wouldn't be surprised if we went at least two weeks early.  Cross your fingers.  I'm counting on that.  So hopefully somewhere in mid-July. Oh ya, and it's another boy.

Noah is excited to have a baby sibling although he was pretty bummed to find out it was a boy since we had been calling this bump baby Lizzy since about week 3 and 5days.... we found out pretty early. Join the club kiddo, mommy was also sad - again.  I had about a day of "this sucks", followed by "it wont be that bad, I kind of like Noah a little bit".  Plus although I'm super sad I don't get to buy girl things yet again, really, it's probably the best for our budget.  And really that just means we have to try for number three, right?

In true second kid fashion, I've been slacking on most things... like taking pictures, so here is the last one I took at 26 weeks. We have however gotten the nursery pretty much finished since we kind of kicked Noah out of the crib.  It made it easy to just move his baby furniture to the nursery and get him new stuff.  All we had to do was buy a couple of new things and wash his old clothes and that was that.

We're really excited for number two although in my opinion I feel like we're just living life as normal not really realizing what's about to come.  A toddler will do that to you.  The beginning of pregnancy was pretty miserable for me with lots of throwing up and sickness, none of which I had with Noah. It wasn't until about 22ish weeks that I finally felt better, and at that point I was starting to get big enough to just feel "big" and uncomfortable... so ya.  Maybe not as blissful as the last pregnancy.   With that said, I have worried way less this time around about having a miscarriage.  We still had a hard time getting pregnant and eventually went on Clomed again.  Took us a little longer on the medicine this time around, four months, and I can't say trying was really all that fun since our work schedules are complete opposite and this time we had another child. But we are so grateful to have made it this far either way.

  • How far along?: 28 Weeks almost 29.
  • Baby is the size of a: Eggplant?  That seems small. 13.6-14.8in and 1.5-2.5lbs.  So.. 2.5
  • Total weight gain/loss: +15
  • Symptoms: Lots of movement, lots of pee breaks, sore ginormous boobs, lower back pain.
  • Sleep: Most nights I sleep pretty good as long as Noah sleeps good too.  I survive on 6-7 hours of sleep no problem.  My first-time mom self would have never uttered those words.
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope.
  • What I miss: Mostly not feeling so big. Maybe taking naps, but again, that's more toddler related than pregnant
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet: Still nothing.  Unlike last time, this has been much harder.  We have a couple of options but nothing that sticks out for us.
  • Labor Signs: Nothing.
  • Best Moment of the Week: Taking our maternity pictures was super fun minus out uncooperative toddler but that's to be expected.  Either way, we love out photographer and she always seems to get anything she needs even though people never look at the camera.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Well, can we just deliver this baby already!?
So here we are - hopefully less than 10 weeks left!

Week 38

38 Weeks as of yesterday and even though I understand there is gonna be a human being coming out of me it still doesnt quite seem real.  I'm really looking forward to knowing what he's gonna look like and how he's gonna act. It's almost weird to be so excited about someone who you don't really even know yet.
I'm also getting some serious case of senioritis but like the work version.  I'm so ready to not be here, bored... waiting for something to happen.  I ready to be home, cuddling, feeding, changing diapers, spending good quality time with a husband and a baby boy.  It's hard to really get motivated around here.
Anyway, hopefully two more weeks is all I have to wait!

  • How far along?: 38 Weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Pumpkin
  • Total weight gain/loss: Up 23lbs to 153. Not to shabby and feeling pretty good about it.
  • Symptoms: Heartburn sucks but other than that it's pretty good.
  • Sleep: Sleep is not great.  Lots of getting up in the middle of the night to pee. Also kind of hard to turn in bed.  Not horrible though.
  • What I miss: Beer... and knowing I wont be a8ble to tan on the beach this year... =(
  • Movement: He's all over the place.  I don't even think he bothers to sleep anymore. <---Still the same.
  • Maternity Clothes: Very comfy
  • Labor Signs: Some lower back pain but not much of anything.
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Nothing too new to be excited about.  Ready for this child to come!
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Cuddling with a little boy soon! (and can I also brag I don't have any swollen limbs?!  Really excited about that!)

Finished Nursery

I'm so excited to finally have the nursery all finished and photographed.  I had always thought I would have a girl and had so many plans for girl nurseries that when we found out it was a boy I had to completely rethink everything I wanted.  I wanted something that he could grow into that wasn't super themed.  I can't imagine having to re-do a room every time he starts liking a new color or thing, so we just kept it pretty neutral.

And for anyone interested here are the links to items in the room.

Custom Nursery Closet

Now that the nursery is done I want to take pictures to post here but I haven't yet gotten around to it yet so I figured I would post the closet instead since that's all I have done.  I will say I searched Pinterest up and down trying to find a custom closet that wasn't super expensive to make.  It took a long time but I finally found one I liked.  I took inspiration from "David + Jen" 's nursery.  I would for sure take a look closely at how did they it.  We did not, and afterwards I wished I would because then I would have found out why their closet turned out with much bigger shelves than ours. (dang it!)
(They used two shelving units and cut one of them up for shelves)

I took pictures from both sides.  Jeff had a great idea to only have one shelf on one side so we could fit the bigger items like the stroller and I would say it turned out wonderfully.  We also have plenty of room for lots of hanging items.  You can see I barely have one bar filled up let alone all three.
So, there it is! A closet already full of diapers!

What we bought:

Week 36

Jeff and I had a great long weekend together.  I got a ton of stuff done around the house.  The nursery is completely finished.  Absolutely nothing to do.  Feels good to have it done.  I also did major cleaning in the entire house.  The basement was a complete mess.  I never go down there so I kinda just "forget" about it but I figured since we're gonna have guests in the near future I might as well clean it up now.
Also finished planting the garden. (and the herb garden) This year I did the bare minimum since I don't know how much gardening I'm really going to have time to do.  I planted some tomatoes, peppers, lettuce and arugula.  Enough for Jeff to have some salads throughout the summer.

We also had a fun dinner and drive date on Saturday.  We went to our fave restaurant, six.one.six. and I got to dress up and wear heels which doesn't happen that often now that I'm so pregnant I don't feel like I can do anything fun. Every time we go out I rather be in pjs or sweats.

We had a great meal as usual. The waiter even noticed that I was pregnant and gave us a free dessert at the end.  It was a great way to finish the dinner. They always treat us so nice there.

We ended the night by driving Jeffs half Ironman bike route in Ada/Caledonia.  It was fun to just hold hands and take a look at the scenery, but let me tell you, it is really far.  I think when you hear that someone is going to bike 56 miles it sounds like a lot but it feels like a lot more when you actually drive it and then realize someone is going to bike that same amount.  Only three more weeks to the half Ironman. We're almost there!  Cross your fingers I don't go into labor that day 'cause if I do it's gonna be pretty crappy... and that's if we even find Jeff on the course.  I might be delivering this baby with my mom... if she makes it either! Yikes!
Anywho! Onto the weekly update!

  • How far along?: 36 Weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Honeydew melon. (17.2- to 18.7-inch and 4.2- to 5.8lbs)
  • Total weight gain/loss: Up 21 lbs so right on track for 25 total.  Pretty excited I've been able to keep it under control this pregnancy.
  • Symptoms: Heartburn at night is pretty bad.  But still pretty "limber" as my nurse pointed out this week as I jumped of the table to go to the bathroom. =)
  • Sleep: Up and down, some nights are great, some are not.  With the warmer weather my allergies have started to kick in and that's making it worse.  Lots of coughing at night bc of the drainage issue in my throat.  I'll have to ask the Dr. about it later this week to see what I can take.
  • What I miss: Having some moscato with dinner when we eat outside.  It really just makes summer so much better.
  • Movement: He's all over the place.  I don't even think he bothers to sleep anymore.
  • Maternity Clothes: Excited for the next pregnancy so I can buy more of it.
  • Labor Signs: Nada.
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Only a pound up!  Woo!  Actually .8 so even better.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Sleeping better.  I know I'm not going to sleep more, but when I do sleep it would be nice to be out completely and not wake up because I feel like crap.

Week 33

33 weeks down and seven left to go!  It really is just not going fast enough.
I'm so ready to get this show on the road... and to be off work for a couple months.
I could use a break from work. Even if it is to take care of a child.

  • How far along?: 33 Weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Durian Fruit, which apparently tastes and smells disgusting... 4.2-5.8 lbs of baby and about 17.2-18.7in long.
  • Total weight gain/loss: I'll find out on Wednesday but I should be up around 20 lbs (Update: Up 20.2lbs... so right on track.  Dr said I should gain a total of 25-27lbs.  Cross your fingers!)
  • Symptoms: Some nice jabs to my lower right side since that's the only side he likes.  Also major heartburn.  Really sucks to sleep when all that's going on.  Luckily when I have medicine and don't run out it seems to be okay.
  • Sleep: It's okay
  • What I miss: Not feeling like an alien is trying to kick his way out of my stomach constantly.
  • Movement: That's an understatement.
  • Maternity Clothes: Trying really hard to wear my non maternity clothes but honestly I'm pretty sure everyone who looks at me  probably thinks, "that girl really needs some new clothes, can she not afford it?"  No, it's not that bad, just running out of cute, work appropriate option.
  • Labor Signs: Nada.
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Breastfeeding class? It was okay I suppose, but nothing else too exciting going on around here.  Glad to have the nursery finished and ready to go.  I'm running out of things that need to be finished.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Honestly, I just want this child out!

30 Weeks

30 Weeks and 75% done! Woo!
Not much of a change since last week but it's so nice to know we are at the home stretch.  Not that much longer until we get to see our little nugget.   We started going to the Dr. every two weeks now so I feel like it should go by faster.  Hopefully less than ten weeks because I'm already getting ancy.

  • How far along?: 30 Weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Large cucumber. 15.2- to 16.7-inch and 2.5- to 3.8-pound baby; although since last week we were already at 3.3 I'm assuming he's on the bigger end.
  • Total weight gain/loss: 14-17 depending on the day
  • Symptoms: Getting majorly kicked on all sides... other than that it's pretty good.
  • Sleep: Getting better.
  • What I miss: Not feeling like a whale... and generally not feeling kicking.  I don't know why women love it so much but I'm not one of them.
  • Movement: I think he might be practicing his karate skills in there... who knows. At least he seems to sleep when I sleep.
  • Maternity Clothes: Still wearing my favorite motherhood maternity skinny jeans in all three colors.
  • Labor Signs: Nada.
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Our ultrasound last Monday was great.  He's getting chubbier in there and his heart (which they couldn't see very well last time) looked great.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Baby shower this weekend!

29 Weeks

Only 11 more weeks to go! It's coming so fast, I feel like it's flown by.  I have a Dr. appointment on Monday with our last unexpected ultrasound.  It'll be so nice to see some chubby checks.  He's been doing a lot less kicking and a lot more shifting around.  He's not quite up in my ribs yet but he's mastered punching me in the bladder. At least it's not both.  The nursery is almost finished, we're just waiting for the last couple of items on the registry so we can fill up all the drawers and shelves.  It's turned out great and I can't wait to take some final pictures to show everyone.
Other than that, there has been talk in the house about guests at the hospital, when/how to let people know he's arrived and lots of talks about birth plans.  We still have a couple of things to consider but honestly it just seems like most things are figured out which makes me feel a ton better.  And even more excited!
Finally, we got to see a preview of our maternity pictures which turned out amazing.  Wisper did an amazing job.  We're really excited to have her do our newborn pictures too! Check out her page here.

  • How far along?: 29 Weeks (tomorrow)
  • Baby is the size of a: Acorn Squash 15.2 -16.7in
  • Total weight gain/loss: I'll find out on Monday but I'm thinking about 16-17
  • Symptoms: On and off sleep, lots of bathroom breaks, lots of belly movement.
  • Sleep: Some nights are great, others suck big time.
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope.
  • What I miss: Finally started to miss beer.  Just a little sip would be nice.
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet:  We have one picked.
  • Movement: Less kicking more wiggling. More pushing body parts out.
  • Maternity Clothes: Still in them although I went a little target T-shirt crazy yesterday and just bought regular shirts in a size up.  They should last me the next three months.
  • Labor Signs: Not much.
  • Best Moment of the Week:  It was a long one, lots of work, not a lot of seeing hubby. We did go out on a date yesterday followed by some college basketball and strawberry shortcake making. It was delicious.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Monday's ultrasound! ...and two more weeks to the baby shower!

26 Weeks And A Look Back

26 weeks tomorrow and It's finally starting to feel like it's going a little faster.  I'm really ready for baby to come out already and all I want to do is snuggle with him but I'm pretty darn far and almost in my third trimester so I'll have to be content with that.  Even though I feel pretty big right now, looking back has made me realize I'm a lot smaller than I thought I would have been at twenty-six weeks but also that I have a loong way to go. I'm excited for the next couple of months.  Finishing the baby room, having a baby shower and getting to see my maternity pictures.  Fourteen more weeks to go!

  • How far along?: 26 Weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Head of lettuce
  • Total weight gain/loss: I'm assuming more than last week so more than 13 =)
  • Symptoms: Baby is kicking like crazy and making me a little annoyed.
  • Sleep:Pretty good
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope.
  • What I miss: Not peeing at night
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet:  We have one picked.
  • Movement: A little too much going on in there.  Is he dancing to some music I don't hear?!
  • Maternity Clothes: Loving maternity clothes.  So comfy.  Just found white skinny maternity pants that I've been looking for a while and I'm pumped!
  • Labor Signs: I think I might have started some Braxton Hicks... I'll wait to confirm.
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Finding my white maternity skinny jeans!
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Maternity pictures in less than a week and I actually found a dress I'm super excited about.  Mama is gonna look goooood.

Week 25

Almost done with the second trimester!  It's going by much faster than the first one.  Hopefully the third trimester will fly by because I'm already ready for this little boy to cuddle with me on the couch.
This weekend Jeff and  I went to Ikea to pick up the last of the big furniture and it's pretty much all set up.  I received the crib skirt in the mail yesterday and have some sewing projects to do.
All the big furniture is in its place in the nursery.
Maternity pictures are coming up next week, and baby shower date is set!
Things are really coming along.

  • How far along?: 25 Weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Head of cauliflower
  • Total weight gain/loss: 13 - double digits... holy cow.
  • Symptoms: The last couple of weeks baby had a growth spurt (obvious by my increase in size) and it's making my belly a little sore at night.  Also a little tired mid day but overall not too bad.
  • Sleep: Not too shabby
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope.
  • What I miss: The energy I used to have.  Not talking about baby stuff in every conversation I have.
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet:  We have one picked.
  • Movement: It's like gym class in there.
  • Maternity Clothes: Pants for sure, still doing ok with tops.
  • Labor Signs: N/A
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Just found out at the Dr. Appt today that because our little man was so wriggly during the 20wk ultrasound we get to have another one next month. Woop!
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Maternity pictures are coming up!

I just cannot help myself!

You know, I was really hoping for a girl when we found out I was pregnant... but the fact that it's not may actually be a blessing.  I'm already shopping for this little boy and I can't imagine how much more I would be shopping if he were a girl.  Old Navy really had some good sales going on a couple weeks ago and I just couldn't help myself.

And while I was at it I thought, well why not get some stuff for mama too? =)
This skirt ended up being super cute.  I'm ordering the other color right after this!

22 Weeks/Gender Reveal

22 Weeks and counting down! Last week Monday we found out what we're having.  Of course I was wanting a little girl big time but apparently that wasn't in the cards for me. =(  I've had about a week of getting used to thinking about my child as a little boy and I suppose it's not entirely bad.  Mostly I'm just disappointed at the lack of matching outfits we'll have although somehow I think I'll still make that happen.

We finally made the announcement of the pregnancy as well as the gender reveal on Thursday and Jeff had the great idea of making it a mug shot announcement.  I think it turned out pretty good!

After the reveal, Jeff and I were lucky to have two of our three soon to be auntys stop by for some photo time with our little baby boy.  They are both so much more photogenic than I am. =)
"Hi, little baby Stoll!"

  • How far along?: 22 Weeks (1-27-13)
  • Baby is the size of a: Papaya
  • Total weight gain/loss: 9lbs

  • Labor Signs: N/A
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Our ultrasound went great.  We have a very healthy baby boy with long legs... just like daddy!

Weeks 18 - 20

Yay! 20 Weeks!  Am I excited or what?!
I feel pregnant... Super pregnant, and I know it's super crazy to say because I'm only half way there but holy cow, I am not looking forward to getting bigger at all.
The last couple of weeks have been great other than getting used to dressing this new body.  I really have got to go shopping for some suitable clothing.  On a better note, Hubby and I started painting the baby room and I just ordered some of the furniture so it's starting to take shape.
Seven more days 'till we find out the gender!

  • How far along?: 20 Weeks (1-27-13)
  • Baby is the size of a: Banana
  • Total weight gain/loss: 8ish maybe,
  • Symptoms: Heartburn like wow. At night a little stretchy belly aching but nothing too bad.
  • Sleep: Starting to get better.  I think I figured out whats working.
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope.
  • What I miss: Feeling good and healthy and not stuffed.
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet:  I do think we picked them out depending on sex.
  • Movement: Yes!  "Hi baby!"
  • Maternity Clothes: Pants for sure, still doing ok with tops.
  • Labor Signs: N/A
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Jeff got to feel the baby...even if it was just for a little bit.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: One more week and we find out the sex!

Weeks 13 - 17

I know I keep saying this, but we've made it this far?! Beyond exciting.

It's been a roller coaster of symptoms the last couple of weeks.  Finally getting over morning sickness, although it wasn't that bad anyway, but now starting to get some new symptoms.  Only 23 more weeks people! Almost half way there!

  • How far along?: 17 weeks (1/06/2012)
  • Baby is the size of a: Big Onion
  • Total weight gain/loss: I'll find out on Thursday at our next appointment but I'm guessing about 7lbs.
  • Symptoms: Sleeping has gotten much worse, up almost every hour having to pee and not being able to go back to sleep. Major heartburn, MAJOR. If I can get something for this heartburn I should be pretty good to go, at least until something else pops up.
  • Sleep: Horrible as stated above.
  • Food Cravings:  Still none, I think I lucked out.
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope.
  • What I miss:  My flat belly, my cute clothes, good sleep. <---same as last week
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet: Lots of girls names, just need Jeff to settle on one.  Just one boy name just in case.
  • Movement: I'm pretty sure I feel something once in a while but nothing for sure.
  • Maternity Clothes: Finally tried on lots of maternity clothes.  Most of it stinks. Just more motivation to do lots more working out after the baby comes.
  • Labor Signs: N/A
  • Best Moment of the Week:  I think I've been feeling the baby... =)
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to: Less than a week till our next appointment. Nothing too excited but we should be able to set up our 20 week ultrasound so we should *cross our fingers* be able to find out the gender preeeetty soon!
Edit: (1/10/13): Dr. Apt was short but went well.  Up only 5.8lbs total since the beginning.  We're scheduled for our 20 week ultrasound early Feb. (Week 21)  Soon we will know what we're having!

Weeks 9-12

I cannot even believe I've made it to this point.  I am beyond excited and starting to feel slightly optimistic about actually having a child in 28 more weeks! The last month has been filled with major ups and downs.

Week 9 + 10:  Definitely feeling like crap.  Never did throw up but it sure would have helped. No major weight gain .  Still wearing regular pants but they are starting to feel a little snug.  Most days I felt crappy but some much better, and although this seems great, it was just time for me to freak out about maybe loosing the baby so I welcomed the bad days for sure.  I figured out I couldn't drink any water at night or in the morning without my stomach feeling nasty and I LOVE water so this was a problem.  Luckily I stocked up at night...but then I had to pee a bunch at night.   I guess the good and the bad go hand in hand.

Week 11 + 12: Starting to feel much better.  Still a nasty stomach feeling in the morning but getting up early to eat and then going back to bed for a nap has helped a bunch. I've been sleeping tons; about 12-13 hours a day so I can make it through the rest of the day.  I do rather sleep than feel sick though so not too bad.  This should pass soon, I can already feel it changing.  Definitely look like I have some kind of fat belly now.  I'm starting to be able to wear less and less pants comfortably.  Luckily my two favorite jeans still fit pretty well without much help.

Yes...13 weeks...because I was too tired the rest of the month to take pictures. ;-)
  • How far along?: 12 weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Plum
  • Total weight gain/loss: Can't imagine I'm the same size, we'll find out in a week at the next appt.
  • The Bump: Looks like a little one is starting to show.
  • Symptoms: Sleeping pretty poor, lots of peeing. Huge boobs.  Nothing too horrible though.
  • Sleep: Sleeping is tough and I need a lot of it.
  • Food Cravings:  None.  As long as it's food I'll eat it.
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nope, I think I lucked out.
  • What I miss:  My flat belly, my cute clothes, good sleep.
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet: Lots of girls names, just need Jeff to settle on one.  I'm assuming it's a girl, lol.
  • Movement: N/A
  • Maternity Clothes: Bought some new bras, still need to get new pants.  Trying to wait as long as possible.
  • Labor Signs: N/A
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Starting to feel better through the day.  Makes life much easier for the hubby too.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to:  One more week 'till our next appointment! Woo!

Week 6 + 7 + 8

So excited to have been able to make it another two weeks. I had a little scare last week and I thought I was having another miscarriage.  I kinda freaked out. Luckily the Dr. just happened to call me that morning and offered to have me take some blood tests to make sure.  All my numbers where high and getting higher... so yay! Still pregnant.  One more week till we get to see our little nugget... or two.

  • How far along?: 8 weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Raspberry
  • Total weight gain/loss: Haven't checked... I'm hoping all this bloating doesn't mean extra lbs.
  • The Bump: Lots of belly bloating but nothing real.
  • Symptoms: Boobs still giant, still very very tired a little nauseous here and there but making it through.  Haven't gone as far as the toilet yet so I would consider that good.
  • Sleep: Still sleeping massive amounts, lots at night and lots of naps.  Sooo tired!
  • Food Cravings:  Not much, nothing sounds too good.
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nothing yet.
  • What I miss:  Not being tired. I'm so not myself.
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet: I have a couple for a girl but if its a boy we have a lot to think about still.
  • Movement: N/A
  • Maternity Clothes: I should really get some pants - this bloating is killing me. I have however pulled out the belly band, that's been nice.
  • Labor Signs: N/A
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Our blood tests confirming that we're still pregnant. Yay! (Edit: Seeing our little nugget! In 3d and everything.  We even got a video!)
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to:  Just a couple of days till we get to see our little nugget!! (Edit: We saw our little nugget and some arms and legs.  Great fast heart beat Yay!)

We're Pregnant!

If you're reading this now thinking ...I already knew that because you have a new big belly, (well, not THAT big) you are right.  We did not just find out, but trying to be cautious since our last two pregnancies ended in a miscarriage I thought I would write these during the corresponding week and post them later when we know this pregnancy is much safer.

So ya, we're PREGNANT! Woo!

Written on 10/17/12
Week 4 + 5
We found out last week, Tuesday, 10/9/12  that we were pregnant again.  How exciting and nerve wrecking! Agh!  Our last miscarriage happened late last year and ever since then we're been working on #3.  After months with no good luck I started taking some medicine to get my cycles more regular. (Clomed for anyone wondering... it's pretty common)  Last cycle was not successful, but this second cycle worked!  I was a total stress ball the week after ovulation and I couldn't wait till test time, which for me is sixteen days after ovulation and its waaay too long to wait when you have an inclination of being pregnant.  So I tested way early on day thirteen and it was positive!  Of course, I had a mini freak out in the bathroom, should I wake hubby up, should I not?  I wanted to surprise him with something cute, but really with all that we've been going through I also couldn't keep it a secret for more than a half hour.   I finally woke him up and told him I had a surprise and he immediately knew what it was. =)

The bad thing about testing this early is it could be a chemical pregnancy which basically means that the egg and sperm have joined, you started to make the pregnancy chemical that gave you the positive result but then it doesn't stick to your uterus and then, well .... you're not pregnant anymore.  It's pretty stressful and that's all I really thought about for the whole fourth week. So really I've been waiting another week to make sure it was real and it is!

Now it's week five...and still pregnant. I think we're going to wait and tell just a few people around Thanksgiving (week 10ish) , mostly my sisters and sister-in-law bc I can't keep anything from them for a long time, and then we'll make it official to the rest of friends and family around Christmas (week 15)....as long as I don't start showing too much anyway. Guess we'll have to see.  At least by that time the pregnancy should be pretty safe.

  • How far along?: 5 weeks
  • Baby is the size of a: Orange Seed
  • Total weight gain/loss:  Starting weight around 125lbs
  • The Bump: Nothing to show for this.
  • Symptoms: Last week I was super tired but much better now.  Lots of period like cramps (making me really worried although a co-worker of mine said that was normal) Still worried though since I didn't have that with the last two.  Also, my boobs are giant balloons! and they are super sore.  I think I already need to get some new bras.... although they will look pretty nice for a wedding in two weeks. ;-)
  • Sleep: About 10-12 hrs a night although it's not THAT much more then normal.  I do wake up for about an hour in the middle of the night wide awake...  I hope that stops.
  • Food Cravings:  Nothing, but I have been enjoying beef since I have a feeling I wont want to eat any in a couple of weeks.
  • Anything Making Me Queasy or Sick: Nothing yet.
  • What I miss:  Being able to live without worrying about how long this baby it gonna make it.
  • Weddings Rings On or Off: On
  • Any Names Picked Out Yet: I have a couple for a girl but if its a boy we have a lot to think about still.
  • Movement: N/A
  • Maternity Clothes: N/A
  • Labor Signs: N/A
  • Best Moment of the Week:  Seeing the positive sign on Tuesday and being able to tell hubby.
  • What I’m excited about/looking forward to:  Our first Dr. Appointment which is way too far away, Nov, 6th? I think.  I'll be around 8 weeks.  I would do anything to know this little buddy is doing alright in there every day...
Baby Stoll due June 19, 2013 - or better known now as our 3 Year Anniversary!
Coincidence? I think not.
